A hero in our midst

Last week, our NatureBridge Board Chair, Dr. Stephen Lockhart, led a team of 15 brave and dedicated Bay Area physicians and nurses on a mission of mercy in Haiti.

The team has just returned home after a week of 20-hour shifts in a hospital north of Port-au-Prince that was over capacity by 250 patients. They operated when they could, coordinated doctors, supplies and resources when they couldn't operate, mended physical and emotional wounds, and gave hope to devastated families.

To Stephen and his fellow heroes, on behalf of all of us, thank you for the work you do and welcome home. We are proud of you and very glad to have you home safe and sound.
