In its third year, the NatureBridge Hike-A-Thon is more than a fundraising
event—it is a fun-filled day for families with kids and those who like to hike. NatureBridge educators are on the trail, providing hands-on environmental educational experiences. The event features campfire-style music and
Teams as well as individual hikers raise funds while building awareness so that more Southern California school children and teens have access to hands-on science education in nature’s classroom.
Southern California Hike-A-Thon raises funds for regional NatureBridge programs.
Since 2012, nearly 400 people have taken part in NatureBridge's annual Southern Califorinia Hike-A-Thon. These participants and their incredible fundraising efforts raised more than $65,000 for regional environmental education programs. Their participation and fundraising efforts have provided hands-on science education in nature’s classroom by:
