Coastal Camp Field Science Educator

Coastal Camp at NatureBridge is a summer day camp designed to combine marine and coastal ecology themes with hands-on educational activities and games, providing exciting opportunities for discovery in the great outdoors. Coastal Camp runs from June 11 until August 17, 2012 (with training occurring June 5-9). Each weekly theme has been chosen to highlight and take advantage of our natural outdoor location in a stunning and unique national park setting within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area in Sausalito.

Coastal Camp Field Science Educators (CCFSEs) increase knowledge of and appreciation for the environment by creating and implementing themed weeklong day camp sessions for campers entering grades 1-9. Educating groups of up to 16 (student:adult ratio is 8:1), CCFSEs collaborate with camp counselors to identify relevant issues and develop age appropriate, safe, educational, and fun activities and hikes. Coastal Camp seeks educators who can successfully infuse educational and learning opportunities with fun and adventurous programming through games, creative songs, and outdoor explorations.

NatureBridge values diversity, equity, and inclusion. We strive to diversify our workforce and seek applications by individuals from all backgrounds, abilities, cultures, orientations, identities, and communities.
