The Pond Lab activity at Headlands Institute leads students through hands on exploration to answer the question, "How healthy is the pond?" Students learn techniques for biomonitoring, and discover the world of benthic macroinvertebrates. Most importantly, they get their hands dirty and get excited about the world of squirmy little critters to be found in the mud.
