Seeking sense of place: NatureBridge experience leads to National Park Service career

At sixteen, I had never encountered nature’s grandeur in the scale I witnessed as our bus pulled into Yosemite National Park at the beginning of my NatureBridge program. I was snapping pictures through the window before the bus had even delivered us to our destination. They are terrible photos, but I enjoy them to this day as a reminder of my excitement and awe.

An evening of natural wonder

The evening began with a special NatureBridge-hosted visit to the national parks where our students learn, play, and grow. While enjoying delectable, sustainable hors d'oeuvres and specialty cocktails, guests had their “National Parks Passport” stamped at each campus.

The reception was followed by an exquisite dinner and the inspiration of special guest, filmmaker Louie Schwartzberg and NatureBridge staff, students, and alumni. After dinner, guests glimpsed the future of NatureBridge and enjoyed delectable desserts.
