family adventures in Olympic National Park

Explore America’s natural beauty close to home. Bring your immediate or extended family out into Olympic National Park for a fun and relaxing weekend with Olympic Park Institute!

Your adventure at Olympic Park Institute is tailored for the families who join us each weekend. Activities could include: paddling our 34-foot Salish canoe on beautiful Lake Crescent, hiking to Marymere Falls with a naturalist who has plenty of fun family activities up his or her sleeve, catching and examining streamside critters to learn about the watershed and ecosystem of Olympic National Park, enjoying s’mores and campfire songs together, listening to a S’Kllallam storyteller. You also have your choice to sign up for varied activities like yoga on the lakeshore, family crafts, swimming, investigating skins and skulls of park creatures, night hikes, and more!

Your family will enjoy healthy and hearty meals with vegetarian options served in historic Rosemary Inn, and stay in a room with your family in our cabins with shared bathrooms.
