Pre-requisites
This course is designed for students who are entering 11th or 12th grade and have completed at least 1 year of high school biology.
 
Credit earned
Successful students will receive 3 community college credits from Columbia College, California.

*The extra cost for out of state students is due to fees charged by Columbia College.

Financial aid

We are pleased to be able to offer partial scholarships for the Field Research Course to allow students with limited financial resources to enjoy the experience of a lifetime in Yosemite’s backcountry. To apply for a scholarship, please complete a scholarship application form and send it in with your registration form and deposit. We will not process your deposit until you have been offered, and accepted a scholarship. Because of the limited scholarship funds available, and a desire to help as many people as possible, we are unable to provide full scholarships. Applicants must be able to pay at least the trip deposit to be considered for a scholarship. We will read all of the scholarship applications and decide how to distribute our funds by June 1st. We will then let you know how much support we are able to provide. Funding for these scholarships comes from a variety of sources. If a student does receive scholarship funds, we ask that he/she write a letter thanking the donor for their support at the completion of the adventure.
